This is a Belmont Brass tube that screws on both ends.
It was used to hold documents, identification, or letters to the dead and placed inside the coffin with the deceased.
This one dates back to the 1930s
Size: 6 inches long.
Condition:There are scratches from having been stored in a drawer for many years.
