This is an antique well-used 1900s embalmer's hard-case grip manufactured by Renourd & Sons of New York City.
The Renouard & Son label is still visable on the inside of the case.

Contents: Assorment of antique and vintage makeup, powders, waxes and the original instrument envelope that holds Renouard & Son embalming instruments (some are marked Renouard & Son, others are not marked.)
Condition: The Grip is well used, metal corners and brass locks. There is no key. Handle and inside well-worn.
This was used to hold Renouard & Sons fluid bottles and Renouard & Son instruments made in Germany.
